Christopher Sand-Iversen er redaktør, kurator, skribent og oversætter. Han er uddannet i kunsthistorie fra Courtauld Institute of Art, London, og visuel kultur fra Københavns Universitet. Han er ejer og redaktør af forlaget RSS Press og medgrundlægger og mangeårige medlem af den uafhængige organisation for samtidskunst, SixtyEight, hvor han har været med til at skabe kuratoriske research projekter, f.eks. om vores forhold til naturlige cyklusser, såvel som residency-programmet Fælles om Haven sammen med Rønnebæksholm.

Christopher har skrevet om udstillinger af moderne og samtidskunst, og kunst- og idehistoriske essays om begrebet æter, det sublime i forhold til det materielle og immaterielle i kunsten, og Kants, Schillers og den franske revolutions indflydelse på det samtidige danske åndsliv.

Han nærer en stigende interesse for mødet mellem naturdiskurser og teknologi, og har i denne sammenhæng redigeret udgivelser sammen med forskere på IT-Universitetet og Universitetet i Oslos Center for Environmental Humanities, såvel som redigeret tekster om samtidskunst af Griselda Pollock, Peggy Phelan, Tom Jeffreys, Sidsel Nelund og Angela Dimitrakaki.

Han har oversat akademiske og litterære tekster for tidsskrifter som Asymptote, The White Review og Shenandoah, og for Passagen Verlag, Forlaget Wunderbuch, Les Figues Press, Cambridge Scholars Press, og Springer International Publishing.

Christopher Sand-Iversen is an editor, curator, writer and translator. He studied Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and Visual Culture at the University of Copenhagen. He is the owner and editor of the publishing venture RSS Press, and a co-founder of the independent arts organisation SixtyEight in Copenhagen, where he has taken part in creating artistic research projects, for example about our relationship to natural cycles, as well as the residency programme The Communal Garden at Rønnebæksholm Kunsthalle.

Christopher has written art criticism about modern and contemporary art, as well as essays on the art history and intellectual history of the ether, the sublime in the history of aesthetics, and the influence of Kant, Schiller and the French Revolution on Danish intellectual life of the time.

He has an increasing interest in the meeting of nature discourses and technology, and has in that context edited publications together with researchers at the IT University of Copenhagen and Oslo University’s Center for Environmental Humanities, as well as edited texts on contemporary art by Griselda Pollock, Peggy Phelan, Tom Jeffreys, Sidsel Nelund and Angela Dimitrakaki.

He has translated academic and literary work for journals such as Asymptote, The White Review, and Shenandoah, and for Passagen Verlag, Forlaget Wunderbuch, Les Figues Press, Cambridge Scholars Press and Springer International Publishing.
